I put higgins waterproof black ink in an empty film canister for easy travel and refill. I use a paper town and saliva to clean the nib. I've found that water or soap prevents the ink from holding to the mettal as well. My inking proffessor said that he's found the best thing to clean a nib with was a coffee filter because it won't leave paper flakes. I'll stick to my saliva and paper towel though.
